The Shape of Japanese Tea Bowls

Handle-less bowls usually are used for drinking regular steeped tea and are called yunomi. While in Japan rice bowls are called Chawan same as tea drinking cups, it is important to mention that rice bowls real name is gohan jawan, and tea drinking bowls are chawan.
